Ever wondered how to take a screenshot or a section of your computer screen? This guide will show you how to take a screenshot and save it.

1)The snipping tool is useful in that it allows you to just take a picture of a specific section of your monitor. To use it, left click on the windows icon in the bottom left corner of your desktop. Then type "snipping tool" and you should see the search menu populate with the snipping tool app. Clicking on this will open the app. Click on the new button in the app. Your screen will have a grey haze come over it and the mouse cursor will now change to a target. Simply left click and hold the mouse button down and drag your cursor to form a box around the area you are wanting to capture. Releasing the mouse button will cause the area you have selected to be saved into the snipping tool app. From there you can save the image, copy it or create another. There is also a keyboard shortcut of windows key + shift + s that will open the snip app.

2) Simply pressing the Fn(function) key + print screen key will take a picture of your whole desktop. If you have multiple screens, it will take a picture of both of them. This will take a picture of your desktop and save it to your clipboard. To save the picture to your computer you need to open another program that will accept the picture. This can be word, paint, publisher, etc. Right click on the blank area you want the picture to be at and then left click on "Paste". The image will be shown just like the picture below.
