Sometimes the students will inadvertently change their keyboard layout on the chromebook to another keyboard layout than the standard QWERTY or US International Keyboard. This is an easy fix that even the student can perform if shown how. Navigate to the bottom right corner of the chromebook screen or wherever the chromebook status area is located. Click on this status area. The chromebook status menu will pop up. In this menu, you should see a bubble labeled "keyboard" with what type of keyboard is currently loaded. Clicking on the keyboard setting will allow you to change the type of keyboard the chromebook will use. The default keyboard is US Keyboard. If there is anything else other than US, it will need to be changed.
