This guide will show you how to transfer photos from your phone over to your google drive account and be able to share the photos with other staff.
1) If you know what photos you are wanting to transfer, it would be a good idea to put them into an album or organize them in a way to make it easily managed.
2) Go into your google drive home screen. It is usually an app that you can download onto your phone. Make sure that you are logged into your @yrekausd.net account. To change this you need to tap on the picture in the right hand corner and pick your @yrekausd.net account.
3) There is a little + icon on your google drive home screen. This is the "new" button.
4) Clicking on this will bring up the Create New option menu. Click on the folder option to create a folder for the pictures to go to. We will come back to this later on. Click on the upload button.
5)You will then be in the upload menu. Here you can select what pictures or files you wish to upload. To select more than one, long press on a picture and a little check box will appear. Select more images and those that are checked will be uploaded. Simply select open and the files will be uploaded to your google drive.
6) The files will be loaded into your drive folder directory. They will show up in the "recent" tab. Here is where you will be able to move them to a folder. Click on the files(s) in question and then click on the little folder icon with an arrow on it. Did you create a folder in step 3? If not do that now. Clicking on the move icon will bring up the move menu. Click on the little arrow next to "My Drive" and then you should see the folder you made earlier. Mine is named "Share This". Click on move and the files will be moved to that folder.
7) Now go back to your drive home screen and find the folder you made. Click into the folder. At the top will be the folder name with a little arrow pointing down. Click on this arrow and click on share. The share menu will pop up and from there you can type the staff member you wish to share these files with. They will then be able to view and see any changes made to the folder they are shared with.
Once the files are in your drive you can then sort them into a folder and share that folder with other staff members. They will then be able to access the files and use them at their discretion. You can also upload new files to that folder and they will also see the new files. Once you get the hang of uploading pictures, you can then upload them directly into the folder of your choice, thus eliminating the need to sort them in your drive afterword.
