Here I will give you a how-to guide for casting what's on your laptop, on to your SMARTboard.

1. Open up Chrome with your laptop and paste this link: https://support.smarttech.com/docs/software/iq/en/downloads/screen-share-apps/windows.cshtml?cshid=downloads-screen-share-windows

2. You will see two purple options for download. Select the lower one that says 64-bit. Once you click this you will see the download pop up on the lower left of your screen.

3. Once it is done downloading go ahead and click on the pop up which will start the install. (you can now close out chrome if you'd like)

4. Check the I accept the terms box and hit the install button. Note that once you do this, you will be prompted asking if you wish to allow this application to proceed. Select yes.

5. Once the install is complete select finish.

6. Now you will see a blue icon, on your desktop that says SMART Screen Share, double click on this and it will ask you for the IP address of your smartboard.

7. There is a Sheets Document with a list off all the classrooms smartboard IP but if you want to manually find this, there is a quick and easy way.

8. There are a couple of different models of smartboards but I will show you both methods.

9. If your smartboard has a home button on the far left of the button column in the shape of a house then here's how we proceed. Click the home button, once at home you will see a bottom row of icons one says Screen Share, click on this (if prompted with a tutorial you can just click skip tutorial) Now you will see a screen that has an IP Address listed, punch in that same IP address into your SMART screen share program on your laptop and click start sharing, it will ask you if you want to allow touch to access your laptop, select yes (this will let you use the touchscreen on your smartboard to control your laptop.

10. If your Smartboard has no home button or house on it here is how we proceed. On your smartboard button column click on the input button and select OPS, this will bring you to the home screen. Once at home you will see a bottom row of icons one says Screen Share, click on this (if prompted with a tutorial you can just click skip tutorial) Now you will see a screen that has an IP Address listed, punch in that same IP address into your SMART screen share program on your laptop and click start sharing, it will ask you if you want to allow touch to access your laptop, select yes (this will let you use the touchscreen on your smartboard to control your laptop.

11. You should now be screen sharing just fine in any classroom you go into as long as you enter in each smartboards unique ID and to stop the screen share simply click stop sharing.

If you have any problems at all just send in a ticket and I'll be happy to get you up and running.

Thanks!
